Accessibility statement
This service is run by the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it.
What you can do
- Use every page with a keyboard alone, without a mouse. The first press of the Tab key shows a “Skip to main content” link.
- Make the text larger with the A− A A+ buttons at the top of the page. You can also use your browser’s zoom up to 200%.
- Switch to stronger text and background colours with the “High contrast” button.
- Read the service in Burmese or English.
- When a form has mistakes, they are listed at the top of the page with a link to each field.
- Use the service on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
The standard we follow
This service is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Its forms and error messages follow the patterns of the GOV.UK Design System.
What is not finished yet
- Some tables used by staff are wide and must be scrolled sideways on a small screen.
- Photos and document images uploaded by applicants have no text description.
- The service has not yet been tested with screen reader users or checked by an independent organisation.
